Agree with Ijjy here. They're by no means classic films, but they're the kind of 'switch your brain off' mindless action films. They're good for what they are.

Sometimes I don't have the energy to watch something that requires close attention.

If we are going by box office success as a measure of "goodness" then Avatar sucked a giant huge salami snake. It wasn't overrated. It just sucked cojones. But apparently people thought its lack of screen play, horrible acting, and cartooney-blue people were somehow compelling.
