Really can't work out what it is that you hope to achieve by this, but I fully understand your frustration and anger at the downturn in fortune of a once proud club and your need as fans to do SOMETHING.
It must be absolutely gutting for Villa fans and as others have said. . . 'There but for the grace of God . . . . '

I attended all 3 of the games in '77 and despite them breaking my heart I have always for some reason had a soft spot for Villa. As stated, I don't know what this can achieve, but I certainly wish you good luck.
Our travelling fans will ridicule and laugh at you all day (and so would I if I was there, it's just par for the course innit ?) but I hope they respect the depth of your feeling and give some respectful applause as you leave.

Piffle. We are hard-wired to hate the RS, but that doesn't mean there's no room to hate other clubs too. Newcastle and Villa are pretty much top of my non-RS list.

I don't care if they've been driven into the ground by the yanks, it's great to see their demise. Hopefully they'll keep going and end up in League One.

You know I do not understand this post at all.

Why the hate?

Hi all,
Villa fan in peace. I am the organiser of the above. The first of which will be a walk out on the 74th minute against your Grand Old Club. Our website below gives more details.

As many of you will know, AVFC are after Everton the club with the highest number of seasons in the top flight, so we are pretty devastated to be going down again. Our club is in a mess!

My son in law is an Everton fan, and I have always had a soft spot for your club since the marathon League Cup Final in 1977 - which we were partly lucky to win at Old Trafford. Had some great craics with Evertonians over the three games.

Have always loved my occasional trips up to Liverpool to see family. Appreciate our struggle is nothing to do with you but any help either during the game or with likes on our facebook page would be great.
Please remove if you object to thread and apologies in advance.

Good luck mate. It's a good job we aren't getting taken over by a couple of yanks isn't it!

Think it's a sad state of affairs and as others have said be careful what you wish for with American owners. HOWEVER if there is one set of fans who turn up to Goodison every year with simply the sole intent of winding up the home fans with tired old ' you stole my stereo' 'sign on ' 'sh*t support m'lord' ( from a not even full two tiers of the Bullens Road ) then it is them. That and the number of scuffy late equalisers/ goals against us means I have no sympathy really. Walk out on 74 and take many a year coming back. Their superiority complex over Birmingham is also Kopite like. Let the become the new Leeds for all I care

i have a couple of mates who are big villa fans and know how much their current demise is hurting them. never really had any like or dislike for villa through the years. apart from liverpool, west ham are the team i would like to see suffer a long lingering slide into obscurity.

Founded in 1874 I think so that's maybe the link.
Hopefully, our travelling support on the night will be magnanimous towards the walking Villa fans - they are hurting and wish to make a protest, let's not ridicule them as we might the fans of you-know-who.
Could save them selves even more heartache and leave in the 18th minute when 3 nil down ........then come back in the 84th minute when they go 4-3 up }~:

I think considering the size of their club, their away support at Goodison anyway on most occasions has been pretty poor to be honest mate, even 3pm saturday kick offs never selling their allocation.
