Outs before ins.

Bye Rodders.

Nevermind

There's more than him on the list

ive said it before...for me we need to sell 1 big player and thats it. Fellaini or Baines because everyone else will just be pocket change and shrink the squad.

Well be talking 10mill tops to spend out right. Bag pienaar, a striker, and a midfielder like diame on a free.

Won't work like that though

I'll bet we don't pay off any BVI Mortgages.

Why would we, they are making a mint out of the interest we pay, there will be a big penalty payment if we do I'll bet. Of course we'll pay them off to take out new ones with better rates for the cronies that have never taken a wage.

In all seriousness who are we going to sell.
rodwell wont be going anywhere, jags will be 30, and I cant see baines going anywhere anywhere near a top4 club, not because he isnt good enough, because I dont think he has the mentality to be able to cope with it, he struggles to do interviews.

Correct, except on Jagielka. I think we'll be looking to offload for anything in excess of £8m.

I won't shed too many tears either as I think he's been considerably weaker this season, and Shane Duffy deserves a go in the first team.

Nobody will spend over £5m on Rodwell.

The asset we will sell for certain will be Ross Barkley, and I can't blame him one bit. The mad thing is that because he's been completely under the radar we won't get anything near his true value for him.

Which makes me think that is the real reason he hasn't played - they didn't want the fans seeing how good he is before we lost him, prompting Rooney-esque outrage amongst the fanbase.

I really hope you're wrong mate.

Disagree.

We are good at making Man City pay too much for players

Fixed that for you. Because apart from them, no-one else has paid over the odds. Rooney was sold to Utd on the cheap, likewise Arteta to Arsenal. OK maybe Barmby to the Sh1te was robbery but there was a premium on that because it was them. The more you look at it the more painful it is; £2.5m for Ritchie Dunne for example was a giveaway at his age at the time.

Sounds to me like he's paving the way for an early sale of one of our stars and the betting would be on Baines going to Manchester. At least this would mean any ins would be got early, which is an absolute necessity given the non-events that the last 2 summer transfer windows have been, and our subsequent poor starts to the season. We haven't done our business early since 2006 when Howard, Lescott and Johnson arrived. Don't think we'll be getting anywhere near £20m for Baines though, more like £12-15m as has been said.

I think the bit you wrote about Barkley makes quite a bit of sense now come to think of it, I was in denial that this was the case but it's starting to look the likely scenario.

I mean, how else do you explain him getting MOTM against QPR to then disappearing for almost the entire season?

[Poor language removed] off Everton.

I think a good transfer window boosts the squad (could be the reason for our bad starts)(also a easy pre-season imo) like in January when we was getting players in we all of a sudden become a better side, full of confidence, id like early transfer business and a testing pre season.

If Felli or Barkley leaves i'm gunna fume into oblivion and attack someone.

If Baines leaves i'll be very sad.
