I think this is the first time in a very long time that we've got the transfer window spot on.
What's more, our rivals for the 4-6th spots have had a bit of a stinker.
Liverpool have done terribly, losing Carroll and Adam without really replacing either of them. With Lucas out for several months they're really kinda in it you'd think.
I don't think Spurs have done well either. Modric and VDV have been their best two players in recent seasons, and both have gone. Dempsey is a solid player but I'm not sure he's in the class of those two, and it leaves them very short up front, with just Defoe and Adebayor as options.
Arsenal seem to have bought ok but having lost Song and RVP you have to question whether they're any stronger this year. Without RVP's goals last year they'd have been in trouble so he's a big hole to fill.
Chelsea have spent heavily and in attack they look very strong. Can they cut it in defence though? Atletico ripped them apart last night and that'll surely dent their confidence.
Reluctant to put Newcastle in there as they could well be one season wonders. Time will tell.
I think United and City will be clear at the top, but I reckon we've had a better start/transfer window than all of the above. What's more, we have what you'd think is a winnable game against WBA today, then an international break, so a great chance to try and bed in the new signings ready for Newcastle later this month.
It's looking good lads.
