Our Gueye, Magaye Gueye

I was watching on Everton TV rather than live which might have made a difference but yeah, great second goal aside, I thought he had a poor game. Kept losing the ball, playing the wrong pass, scuffing his shots, it wasn't pretty. Works hard, though and that second goal was a peach.

Not trying to make any excuses for him but as we played on the friday, wasnt he only back in training on the monday at the start of that week?. I think he was late back like the likes of Arteta, Jags and Baines etc, etc so after only a weeks training his touch and things would be a bit off but when he gets upto full speed he'll be bang on it i'd imagine.

I hope so cos i hope he makes an impact this season aswell as the likes of Barkley and Vellios and maybe Silva might spring a surprise too?!.

I see absolutely no problem with that. Need I remind you that Cahill is often labeled as offering us "nothing but goals"? I'd be very happy if we have another one like that. Let him have a poor game, but score a few. I don't give a rats ass as long as we win.
With one player on the team labelled like this we are aften struggling, if we would have two passengers in middle third than this passengers wouldn't have a chance to do their "thing".

Not sure if it's true about Gueye though, he looks like a bright prospect.

He looks a decent player, wants to get the ball and run at defenders which others don't seem 2 try. Creative aswell, reckon he'll get abit more of a look in this season.

Clinging to the idea that Magaye and Barkley will break through and do something this season if we make no signings
