Our fans were a disgrace

I don't know the full story.

Someone said they were chanting that because the police were attacking them with batons? What??

Still shouldn't be chanted mate, i've sang it before without realising the full story which I was a bell for, but I sincerely hope 'murderers' never gets sung at a derby again. I will put huge money the fact that people having a pop at fans for chanting tonight have themselves chanted 'murderers' at derby games.

If they are one and the same people, there is a consistency there at least, even if you dont think it was a good idea. Consistent in that the perpetrators of the two events are being targeted.

Apparently the fans sang an inappropriate chant and some on here want them to be birched or hung. A tad of an overreaction perhaps.....

That doesn't help, I wanna know this whole 'baton attack' situation? I'm just confused now!

Someone explain, 'cos as far as I'm aware, the stories were hearing are that mixed up that they're probably massively exaggerated anyway.

Bit of grief between fans after the game - police do the usual.

Basically in a nutshell our fans were bad tits tonight, started chants of "Yorkshire police, murderers" just before JFT96. They then carried on singing it every now and then for the rest of the match and as you would imagine police took offence to it and also recorded fans inside the stadium singing it.
After the match there was murder, Everton fans kicking off at the police from what I seem and policed pushing them into fences and to the coaches and using batons on people and Nicking people. Overall it was a bad night on the pitch and off the pitch for Everton, thought better from our team and fans tbh
