Barry and Gibson for special occasions - like away at Anfield - but I don't like the idea of two holding mids in general. It reminds me of watching Ince and Batty for England in the late 90s.

Gibson and Barry for me, McCarthy isn't as good as Gibson from what I've seen but he's young and settling in without a start to his name so far so this may change in time. The great thing about that pairing too is that they both have a great range of passing that can easily find a runner in front of them, I'm looking forward to having a midfield who all have a killer pass in their locker

I went with Barry and McCarthy, no particular reason. I think McCarthy will start more games than not and Gibbo is always injured. Couldn't play Gibbo and Barry in the same team as stated previously for pace reasons. Having Gibbo as a sub for Barry at 55-60 mins would work a treat I believe
