The other side of the coin is that sides are happy to push up against Everton knowing they haven't got a threat against them. Thus why Everton defenders are always making mistakes and hoofing a ball to the CF always results in the ball returning to Everton's half.

By playing Niasse, the opposition knows he's a goal threat and play much deeper than they normally would and Everton's back four is less expose.

Hasn’t happened on any of the games Niasse started in. He’s an extremely limited striker who has the knack of being in the right place at the right time. He’ll get a few goals but doesn’t add a great deal otherwise.

But without his goals we'd be 19th.

Needs to be kept on, purely as an impact sub.

Doesn't need to start but should be on the bench at least at all times.

At the moment the one thing we are woefully short of is goals.

We are equally bad offensively and defensively. If anything, we are worse defensively. Pickford is saving our tails, but we are conceding shots and opportunities at an alarming rate. We do have a lot of tackles, but our lack of transition game is embarrassing. It is almost worse than the last Martinez team in terms of defending.

We are middle of the road in goals scored, although how I have no idea. We have the fewest corners taken in the league BY A MILE with probably the best taker in the league. We haven't had ANY wide play until maybe last week.

This team is truly one of the worst we've seen in some time.

true, but Niasse stunk the place out at Anfield when we did that

I've been calling for 4-4-2, but I'd have it as Tosun and DCL, Tosun and Walcott or DCL and Walcott. Niasse to come on if required.

I'm all for 2 upfront maybe Niasse wasn't great at anfield, but as for stinking the place out if you want to put it that way, I'd have DCL top of that list imo he is a truly awfull striker I'm stunned he's had so much game time this season. It would make me very happy for him to go out on loan. Niasse should have been started regularly weeks ago, he couldn't have done any worse than DCL.

Not really a barometer for success that though, don't think I've see any of our strikers have a good game there in a few decades

wasn't DCL playing more on the right until Niasse came off though

Oumar had absolute zero supply at Anfield, he spent most of his time in his own half defending, I really think that is an unfair comment BT to say he 'Stunk the place out' really unfair, it's not his fault if we're captive in our own half and putting eleven players behind the wall.

Agree with your second paragraph though to be fair.

Niasse should be used by us as an impact sub, he's proved more than worthy of being given an opportunity when there is a need to freshen things up.

If Niasse has the ability to be in the right places and score goals then by definition he's not a limited striker.
