I agree, DCL looked very heavy-legged yesterday.
Playing as a lone-striker whereby you're expected to win every aerial duel along with chasing down numerous players must be draining.

Like Davies, Calvert-Lewin deserves time to recuperate and for us to correctly nurture his talent, so really we should see more of Niasse.

Nevertheless, I'm getting the feeling that perhaps Sam doesn't think too much of him, or at least for his style of play, hence DCL playing a lot.
 
Should start the prince this Sat. DCL is knackered and in time for a rest.

DCL has to do that much running on his own up front that I've noticed in the last 20 minutes of games his work rate drops because he's that knackered (that's when Niasse should come on if Sam isn't going to start him in games) either he needs to pace himself a bit more, or he's being asked to do a thankless job, probably a bit of both in my opinion.

I think it's more down to Allardyce's style of play mate, it calls for a tall striker to win the punts up front.
