You can only admire his effort and I dread to think where we'd be without his goals, but the overall quality is still lacking badly. He could probably get away with it if those around him were giving us something but we can barely retain the ball in the opposition third right now.

Bingo. When you’ve spent £150 million and are (supposedly) at a minimum the 7th best team in the country you’re in a bad way when Niasse is your most effective player. Most of the game revolves around him at one end and Pickford at the other.
