Why is he even included in match squads when they're considering putting him in with u21s for fitness purposes?

He quite obviously is not ready to be subbed on after 70 minutes, let alone actually starting a match. Why is Martinez including him in the squad and subbing him on when it's just going to make him a scapegoat and target for frustrated fans? Reeks of poor man management.

Now he's been labelled as the new Kone before he's even fit enough to play a match because Martinez doesn't want to look like he's made a poor signing (I'm not saying Niasse is a poor signing, but he was a poor January signing).

The whole situation is baffling. The man could actually be great next season for all we know, but the way Martinez has handled him is an utter joke.

The fitness thing is an excuse. He was signed in January and it's now approaching mid-April. That's more than enough time to get fit.
