I thought that as well. But just checking various news outlets it mentioned him being paraded on the pitch while awaiting his work permit.

Even on the Everton website it says " Expected " clearance. Doumia no issue, bit this is dragging on. Another issue might be a mistake on the paperwork or he has lied about something and it will be rejected. Seen that happen to a British fighter in the UFC recently and he wasn't allowed to perform in the ultimate fighter final.

Honestly on a bosman I could see the logic. He was good in the air, read the game well and was a decent tackler. He was incredibly slow though and not good enough to compensate for that when played in a high line, as he often was. Okay player with some weaknesses that Martinez allowed to be exposed badly.

Not exactly Kroldrup like.
