I think it’s pretty obvious Silva had nothing to do with his loan to Hull. He may get on the bench over the next few weeks, but I doubt he will. The deal to get rid has probably already been done.

6 appearances this season, 0 goals. Fachts!

60 league minutes (give or take)

Which means he is due.

He was shocking against Southampton in the league cup yet still set up our goal.

This is it, what do you want to trade off to get goals? Nobody is saying give him a new contract and make him the first name on the team sheet. 20 mins here and there when we are chasing a game though... why not? It's mad, its a position in which we have struggled a bit and we have a proven solution there and yet we turn our nose up at it because he cant do 10 keepie ups.

Give me the goals.

Why is it pretty obvious?

Hull were in a much different position to us.

It's not "obvious" at all.

I now think he definitely is worth a try ahead of Tosun. I'm also not sure whether the bench is right overall actually. It's Baines, Stek, Zouma/Keane, Davies, DCL and Tosun. Why not make it Niasse instead of Tosun, and Dowell instead of Baines?

There's no doubt he's garbage at the football element, but surely if the kitchen sink is needed to be thrown for a goal against Watford at home then he has to be part of the sink. He can grab a late goal.

Hull in a different position, but you still want him to play for us.

Just when silva got the job i read a few posts on here, saying Silva had him at Hull so will probably use him for us, which hasn’t really happened. Maybe you were one of those posters.

Take whatever cash we can get for him and move on
I like him as an individual
Always a smile on his face
Tries extremely hard when he comes on
Never complains or moans
Looks like he realises he’s a very lucky man to be getting good money for doing something he enjoys and will probably be able to comfortably retire at 35
However he is not good enough to be even a squad member at this club
Same applies to Tosun

Not everything is black and white.

I have spent far too much time explaining why he is worth a look at this current moment in time for us, what his strengths and what his weaknesses are. If you have that down as me simply saying I want him to play for us then that is your issue.

As for Hull, well players can play further down and still be of use higher up...

Yeah I more than likely did say that, I would still stand by it that the manager at least knows what he is useful for.

I just want us to pose some form of a threat when we look laboured and are chasing a goal. That is what I want, why wouldn't anyone want that?

Would definitely sell DCL & Tosun ahead of him

Why DCL though? You've seen him for a season where we had either no leadership or tactics, or ridiculous coaching, and we're lucky we have got through it retaining a group of 5-6 young players who might turn out decent - everyone deserves a second chance after last season, and if DCL is good enough for the bench for now, then we should judge him after he's played 10-15 appearances, around one year from now. He'll only be 22ish and we can see how he is. Otherwise, send him on loan from Jan - July with a view to coming back and being back up to our new no9
Sell Niasse and Tosun

Agree with this:

Agree with this:

Because DCL is terrible, you just have to watch him play to be able to tell he's way out of his depth
