It was a team in the Craven Minor League mate,I played originally for Southport Amateurs and as a couple of my mates in the team were leaving who went to that school they signed for that club in the league,and asked me if I fancied going there to play,they were catholics although I'm a proddy doglol

Yes! Lol, Sam Benbow ran the league. When I played Birkdale were a tough decent team and Southport Trinity were, erm, crap. Great days though.

He was actually our manager when I was there,I played in the same team as Stuart Rimmer who went on to play for Everton,and the bouncer on the doors for years at the Brick/Maloneys Dennis Allen,who was probably more famous than Stuartlol

Cracking name wasn't it?Dynamo Burscough,I was a not so flying winger and probably my best goalscoring moment(didn't get many,I was a creator!!)was playing for Amateurs v Rufford Colts,I had got a hat trick for the one and only time,the game had about ten minutes to go,the clouds thickened then the worst hailstorm(actual golf balls!) started,the ref abandoned the game!!talk about guttedlollollol

Cant recall playing a touring side, but we could have done. Our captain was scouse as well. Kopite, but nice fella.
