Stinks of panic.

We've won two games all season and staring at a third relegation in 14 years, so yeah. lol

In all seriousness, Wood was definitely a 'panic' buy in that we had no strikers and needed a capable one immediately, hence the overpaying.

Trippier is a really good player and so is Bruno by all accounts, though I've never seen him play. If the Brighton forum is anything to go by then Burn is a good signing too and, at the very least, an upgrade on what we have.

The French striker is a complete unknown from the point of view of the average Newcastle fan so we'll just have to hope that our scouts aren't clueless.
