The player would have to agree to the transfer. Not sure "we're just buying you to flip you for profit" is the most enticing sales pitch. Especially when it might price you out of the move you want.

Or do what villa did which philogene, agree the terms before a sale, when they resigned him he literally had no choice as the terms were agreed in order for him to.leave in the first place

Not a transfer but somehow Ivan Juric has been appointed Atalanta manager. Guess he can’t be fully blamed for Southampton being so rubbish but seems mad he will be managing a very good team in the Champions League next year.
