Yeah it's an odd one, the only thing I can think is he came from Bundesliga 2 originally and I don't think he has ever played for one of the big German clubs, now he is an International he wants that chance. He is a cracking player though, aside from GK I think at some point he has played in just about every other position on the pitch for Brighton, he can run, pass, dribble, take set pieces, scores goals, happy to get stuck in there, popular member of the squad.
One of those proper unsung hero types, where you wouldn’t be surprised to see them nosedive a bit now he’s gone.
One of the best and prob most underrated signings of the last decade in the PL, so influential and reliable as you say can play anywhere and be great at it.
Hes 33 i guess, its a great opportunity to move to Dortmund and move home and i guess he owes Brighton nothing.
They are really going to miss him though.

That version of Lukaku also had Martinez up top with him and they complimented each other's game so well

I suppose we will see. Even in the past three seasons where Lukaku has supposedly now become bad, he's still scored 15 - 14 - 21 in all comps. If anyone can get him to bag 20+ it's Conte. He's also done that 6 times in his career. Osimhen has only managed it once.
West ham are closing in on signing Fullkrim (sp) the striker from dortmund which I'm kinda envious of , it's irksome the clubs that have leapfrogged us on having better squads along with West ham you have aston villa as well

I know they regretted it the last time they dropped him, but I'm not so sure this time. I think the former Barcelona manager they got from wolves is pretty solid , he did well with wolves when they were on a pretty limited budget only resigned due to lack of transfer fees

From what I’ve seen of him, not sure he’s the most expansive choice.
