He is already in his 30s, no? Maybe he wants to win something and experience something different and not fight relegation battles every year in a club with not much ambition.
I don't think any big (Champions League) clubs were interested for him anyway.

I think its unlikely Icardi and Zaha would have rocked up here to fight for 17th when they can be in Turkey playing CL footy and competing for trophies.

Seem's like Moyes has all the power, rejecting targets / players given to him by that new bloke from Germany, only wants players he wants, Owner no idea what to do.

Targets not wanting to come, players leaving and being unhappy, players being hijacked

Can see them going really desperate and spending huge sums on Mctominay, JWP and maguire which is an awful summer.

Turkey is a bums league man.

If CL is the end game for everyone then Celtic would have elite players.

Think they can still do the contract up to 8 years but can only pay the transfer fee over 5.

Think its that the player is still under contract for that long but they cannot amortise the contract over that long.

In other words its written off in 5 chunks over 5 years rather 8 smaller chunks over 8 years, which i think was the plan.
