Find these long term deals Chelsea have been doing under Boehly interesting. Little bit here about their strategy but I wonder how they are getting the players to agree to that length of contract as the durations are still out of the ordinary. Given the amortisation benifits why don’t other clubs do it more?

There are no amortisation benefits as far as ffp are concerned. UEFA set a five year cap on that.

Does that apply to EPL squads too though? Eg the EPL has P&S but Eufa has FFP, similar and designed to do the same job but subtly different and only enforced in their respective competitions iirc.
