They are earning more that you realise, many of the reported figures for players are a net volume, so after tax 20 mill is what he "takes home".

Before last season, how many of their players would you have said are top 6 players? Guimares and maybe Wilson at a push? I think Barnes will be managed better and asked to do more at Newcastle. Leicester the last 18 months was a mess. He’s plenty capable.

Mega clubs are paying players more, Lazio is not a mega club. Further, the image rights for mega players are different in Europe allowing the mega players to earn a lot more. Mbappe earns 110m a year
