They’re skint. It’s a loan fee + wages off the book then a transfer fee next Summer.

If they get a good goalie, I think they will have to be challengers. No one is ever so patient as to allow what will likely be a £250 million spend go without a challenge, certainly not Abramovich or fans! Maybe because it is Lampard they will be more patient, we will see. But they will be expected to really push for the big titles and to improve on their European performance a lot. And they should do so with these signings.

I think Lampard has refreshed the squad quite well and laid a good foundation for success. I'm still not sure if he'll be the one to deliver the success or if it will be someone else though.

Neither has been expensive but I'm very happy Spurs have bought two players for posistions we badly needed to strengthen.
Feeling quite posisitive about next season now but think 4th is the very highest position we could achieve.
