Thiago Silva confirmed at chelski - would have loved us to have got him, and I don't get why city didn't have a pop for him, instead of daft money on bad ake?!

Think chelski only need a keeper now, and they've got a real chance if they all hit the ground running next season.

Yeah but his resale value would be shocking. Just wasting wages.

Must have good contacts at the BBC or something. There are a few ex-players that end up as pundits and there seems no reason as to why. I can get Shearer, even if he is utterly woeful as he has a fair amount of prestige. Danny Mills, Danny Murphy Robbie Savage... Average players and terrible pundits. Stealing a living.

there's something seriously wrong with the BBC, when you think of all the big names to have played the game over here, the characters etc. why on earth do they seem to pluck the most boring miserable former players they could think of.
people like hansen, lawrenson, le saux, keown, mills, murphy, shearer, sutton - just all such boring boring people. The fact they're terrible at their job is the icing on the cake.

Pat Nevin is the best by a country mile. Don’t mind Dublin or Kilbane either.
Keown is terrible. They must all have the same agent or something. I think a lot of them try to be edgy like Sutton to get more air time. I couldn’t believe it when Pardew showed back up. I even complained to the BBC given his track record.

Erm... Chelsea have signed some players

Not what you asked, but since 2018, they have bought :

18
Kepa 72m
Pulisic 57m
Jorginho 51m

19
Kovacic 40m

20
Werner 47m
Chillwell 45m
Ziyech 36m

Total 348m
Plus 7m Loan fee for Higuian

And sold :

18
Courtois 31m
Cesc 8m

19
Hazard 103m
Aina 8m
Luiz 8m
Kalas 8m
Hector 5m
Omeru 5m

20
Moratta 60m
Pasalic 13m
Nathan 2m

Total 251m
Plus around 20m in loan fees for various players

So this window they have spent 53m, so far.

I had to Google that Pasalic - turns out its another example of the clever transfer policy (also known as money laundering) Chelsea adopt

Buy low, loan out for years, sell high

Shouldn't be allowed

You heard anything from your end mate?

I had heard we have offered Tosun + cash for Zaha but deal is only based on if we can get rid of one of Bernard/Iwobi in the window.
Not heard anything. Aside from the general acceptance from our fan base that Wilf is off as far as I’m aware there have been no bids.
We still need to strengthen and reduce the average age and Wilf is rally our only saleable substantial asset. There will probably be another hoo ha about Palace’s “valuation” of him. The least that will happen is that his new and somewhat sharper agent will negotiate yet another new contract for even more dough a week but this time with a release clause. The level of that will be the sticking point but (a) we will slowly become less reliant on him and (b) will cash in at some point, it would be crazy to let him just run down his contract.

Keown is an absolute helmet. It still burns my head the game we played against West Ham when Allardyce was about to take over. Keown said "this could be the most important game in Evertons history"..... We were sitting in about 12th/14th and moved up to 10th/12th after winning 3-1.

The stupid tit
