£42m for a relatively unproven defender (at least at this level) is madness in its own right, although reports seem to be pretty chalk and cheese.

Some say he has the potential to be fantastic and brings additional attacking prowess, even as a defender, due to his pace and confidence.

Others say he looked well and truly shaky at times in the Dutch league and is nowhere near the finished article, so will be bullied over here.

My work colleague who is a Manure fan laughed because he said in the final he looked woeful and was consistently targeted due to his errors.
