Exeter's Ethan Ampadu has signed for Chelsea and the two clubs are in negotiations over a fee.

The 16-year-old made 13 first-team appearances last season and was free to talk to other clubs having yet to sign scholarship forms.

As a result, there is no transfer fee, but Exeter are entitled to compensation as he is an academy product and under the age of 24.

The League Two club say they hope "a fee for that can be agreed between Chelsea and Exeter City without the need to go to a tribunal".

Jay Rod moved to WBA for 12m, looked a really good player at 1 point, that nasty injury put him back loads but with regular games I think that will prove to be very astute. As long as he stays fit ofc.

Isn't he quite good? They were supposed to splash the cash last season but it didn't happen

I think he was really highly rated (and still is well thought of to a lesser extent though) but Porto didn't do too well last season and he's gone a bit backwards. I didn't realise but I think porto's manager of last season is now in charge of Wolves after they canned Lambert. Still a really surprising transfer nonetheless.

No way he'd go from Porto to the Championship. I was surprised when Costa and Cavaleiro did I guess but think this one but be a bit different.
