Many of the US stadiums are designed taking a queue after English Models

Columbus Crew Stadium was the first specific stadium built only for footy. It was just over 10mil total to construct and it looks like an erector set...but when full it sounds like 50K+ people...

...if only there was a roof.

I wish for something like Goodison.

The Racecourse Ground in Wrexham, though more because of what it represents than the atmosphere (though it can be amazing).

I know the plan fell through and no one was up for Kirkby, but with Stanley Park now up for grabs and us actually looking to build a new stadium than expand Goodison, the design and plan for Kirkby would be perfect for the area on Stanley Park.

This? I don't like it, looks like a dome. Wouldn't suit us and our fans at all, we're all about a traditional square stadium, straight forward and close to the players. Generates a hell of an atmopshere

That picture looks fantastic and amazing btw dont get me wrong

Everytime I see that picture it makes me sad. What a stadium that would have been.

The picture looked good on the outside but considering the costs they would have went for a cheaper spec in reality.

In the brochure for the Goodison rebuild why didn't they also do a picture of that stadium but located at Goodison?

There was also the problem that meant that could never be extended because it was too close to the water.

Makes me feel ill. F.cking hell Bill.

The only thing is when I see designs for a new stadium, it's just not Goodison. obviously. But like, it's so not Everton, it'd be weird.

I don't think we'd be stupid enough to do a 'dome' style, wouldn't put it past us like but can't see it to be honest, just not everton and they know that. If we did though, what about a similar one to feyenoords? It's a dome but so close to the pitch and so tight creating a great atmosphere
