The germans got things right with regards to stadiums;

Dortmund is a thing of beauty, even the outside;

In Britain it would be the Millenium Stadium Cardiff without a doubt, its big, close to the playing field which generates a fantasic atmosphere and it was cheap considering.

Outisde of UK, it would be Dortmunds stadium, its fantastic

Dortmund's kop end is something of unparalleled beauty from a fan point of view when it's in full swing. It's absolutely massive and the atmosphere it generates ****s on anything you see in England by some distance, even Liverpool when they had terraces at their kop end would've struggled to beat it

I'd have to say the Emirates. There's no atmosphere because Arsenal fans don't generate any. Failing that St' james park.

I like that when your in the away end at the top you can see the whole city. Once you've got your breath back like.

Wish someone would graft some of these onto a map to see how they fit on our available space, espesh the next one as I'm told it has quite a small footprint

Azteca as well I like.

Those images are as close 'to scale' as i could get them, you should be able to see from the size of the pitch in both that they're very close. As you can see, we have very little space to work with on the Goodison site, the church makes the situation even worse, and that's without thinking about everything other than just the ground. Parking, hospitality, external buildings not connected to the ground itself, road access etc.

Just a note, the Stadium of Light has a longer pitch, but that 5 yard discrepancy wouldn't be enough to make a noticeable difference to the footprint.

I'm another one who is not really a fan of 'bowl' stadiums. So to choose a stadium from England, I'd give another vote for Villa Park.

Outside of the UK, I love the design of "Estadio Libertadores de América". It's kind of a modern take on the FC Köln stadium. As far as I'm aware, it's a work in progress, but will look awesome when complete.

(I don't have enough posts to show pictures yet, so you'll have to google image "Estadio Libertadores de América" for a look!

No bowl or curved type stadium. I like them square looking, preferably with different stands. Ibrox or Cologne's ground would be ideal for us.

Oh in England?

Have to say I quite like the way Anfield is, and Stamford Bridge aswell.

That is so true!!
No bowl or curved type stadium for Everton! I also like square looking stadiums, with 4 different stands!
Anfield, WHL or Villa Park fo me.
I also like the new Molineux stand.

As others have said in a different way, wouldn't model our ''new'' stadium if we get one on any other English one at all. The Germans know the score like, one that's very very similar to Dortmund's but smaller with a capacity of say 50,000 would be perfect for us, we love being close to the pitch! Of course we wouldn't have the standing area's as well, so a stadium like Dortmunds but smaller is my perfect option for us to have, really I'd be ecstatic if we had something like that
