Other Club Grounds

The reason i don't like a lot of these modern stadiums is the stands not being steep and going far back rather than high up. I'd much rather stands like this:

Than stands like this where you're miles away from the pitch:

Steep stands make the ground feel a lot more closed in and make the atmosphere seem better imo.

Watching on tele I don't notice much of an atomsphere in German matches. Maybe its not the case but it seems like the crowds are far away from the pitch and the fences don't help too much either.

My favorite English grounds are the small ones however there is no point to that. Portsmouth, Fulham and Sheff Utd. all have good stadia. As far as the big ones go, I would never have a problem buying Anfield on the cheap and turning it blue. Its a good stadia, about the size we need and deserves to have a decent team playing in it. I've also heard Villa park is nice but never had a good look at it.

Outside of England I would love to have us play in something like Juventus's new stadium. It seats about 45K and the fans are right on top of the pitch.

Sadly a new stadium isn't going to change our fortunes money-wise. Us spending more money will only result in other clubs spending more. The only solution is finding an owner with a fortune in the 11 figures who doesn't care how much money he spends. Look at Arsenal, giant stadium that fills up with $200 tickets, billionaire owners and they needed Arteta to agree to a pay cut. Once Wenger goes they could be the next NUFC or Liverpool.
