Osman - total rubbish

Ossie is never going to be world class and always struggles when we play the Sky-4. However, he still puts in a decent contribution over a season and is worth his place in the squad. If we sign one more quality central midfielder, Ossie would probably find it hard to get into the team and we could afford to let him go, but at the moment we should not be thinking of selling him.
Same goes for Hibbert. Never going to be world class and struggles against quality opposition, but doing a job for us.

Hes been exceptional and deserves an awfull lot of credit, i dont know what it is with Evertonians we are always quick to turn on our own - Anichebe, Hibbert, Ossie, Rodwell, when compared to the likes of Billy and Heitinga, we're bad transfer hoes.

Argueably he has made more of an impact then Pienaar with more end product as well, the team has been better with him in it.

Some excellent referencing of the vaults here.

Excellent popcorning whoever bumped this.
Agree. Hopefully one day somebody will bump topic with your - "We weren't activge during the summer, because club will take better players for lower prices during the winter" statement of the year.(y) The same winter when we lost Yak, Pienaar... and brought nobody.

For the record - I hate when Osman and Hibbert were/are mentioned together, like they would be similar quality players...

Another hit and run post from someone who didn't have a clue about what they were talking about. Typical.

I think the issue was that when Ossie was out of form, he was still being picked in front of others that many would have liked seeing have a go. But I've slept since then.
This year, Ossie has been in the team on merit, though on many occasions filling gaps rather than in his best position. It was also an opportunity to look back at some goals on youtube and I have to admit, they are cracking!

Christ. This isn't the first time I've seen this conversation.

Personally I'd keep him as a squad player. We all say he's too weak and stuff but he made John Terry look pathetic in the last game of the season and that header against Man City was fabulous.

He's not everyone's cup of tea and he's not mine, put it that way. I think there are better, bigger, stronger, faster, more talented players on this team, but I don't think he gets credit for his workrate and ability.

Paid £9 million for Bily!!!! Ossie twice the player he will ever be! Ossie been our best player since he moved into the middle!
