If it is the ACL the good thing for him personally is that he doesn't rely on athletism or pace very much so shouldn't impact him too much if he makes a full recovery compared to others.
Probably will move on to other options in the summer if he is out for 9months

Considering we did not have an option or obligation to buy, this injury seems a little less of a blow. Need to see how many of the loan berths will be utilised between now and end of the window. I like mangala but he is very much a harrison like player, tidy and does a job but we could do better. Wishing him a speedy recovery though.

That was his meniscus, when your’e playing you don’t actually “feel” it go, it just feels odd. When you wake up the next morning and put weight on your leg to stand up your leg buckles and you fall flat on your face (at least that’s why I did). Horrible injury as it doesn’t have a blood supply to heal, he was never the same after that.

Feel for Mangala, he’s been a steady player for us for a while and we will miss him if he’s out. Hope he recovers asap

Involved in a different sport here. Have seen plenty do it and all different circumstances. Some collapse and pain is horrific. Others play on and only notice it later . Horrible injury though
