He’s playing a role, he’s playing well.

He's not a 30 mill pound footballer though.

If he had pace he would be, but the reason he’s on loan here is because he doesn’t. Better midfields will, and have, played round him and Gueye. It was evident against Villa. We need more pace in there.

Visibly tired, as did a number of the others (whats this dyche fit myth I hear spoken about?), but he’s clearly a good technical footballer that can pass, has a decent shot and one who isn’t afraid to get stuck in when needed.

Just missing a yard of pace but liked what I’ve seen since he’s been here.

Could do with some of the midfield injuries back to allow more rotation in game, and I think he could kick on further.

Agreed. A shame, but never held back Gareth Barry for example. First yard is in your head as they say - so hopefully that will continue to develop.

I think on balance i’d be looking to make his move permanent, price dependant of course!

Does a solid enough job and nice to have someone in there who even slightly resembles a premier league footballer. No doubt he will chip in with the odd goal as well. As mentioned for the right price should become permanent

Yes I’m sure it could, he had a £15m option to buy when at forest shame that’s not the same deal here.

That sum might just price him out, seems a tad on the high side. He’s done quite well but would like to think there’s better value options out there for that. Would like to see him stay though.
