Once a blue- Thoughts on Waynes Departure

3 seasons, that's it, that's the sum total of this "legend's" time here. That's two seasons and 1 trophy less than Paul Rideout.

His return was all about his ego. He loves the club so much that he waited until he was spent before coming back but made sure that we would pay a chunk of his salary for his real retirement gig.

I don't blame him for leaving but the nauseating manner in which he returned shows how small time we are now.

Ta ra Wayne, we owe you nothing. Please don't come back.

It will be interesting to see how he copes with the travel and climate.

In other words we'll have to see if he can do it on a hot, muggy day in Orlando. Hell DC for that matter.

Good luck to him.

Good riddance. Next time we see him on TV will probably be on Americas worst drivers, driving his lawn mower on the freeway pissed up.

yep...I reckon we need to amend all that 'NSNO' motto malarkey. We all love Everton...but a generation and a half of abject failure has injected an enema of cold hard, reality into all sapient Blues.

But all is not totally unwell...only six months to Blue Chrimbo....

...and Everton supporters are generally pretty good, balanced people

Unlike last time I am glad he has gone. Can't see how we can improve with him in the side as he sadly no longer has it for the Premier League bar the odd flashes of brilliance. Good luck to him earning his silly money in a pub league.

He was finished at premier league level for the last 18 months at united. It was probably kenwright’s influence that brought him back, gave the club a lot of media exposure, but in truth after a decent start, his performance levels dipped along with the rest of the squad. Just glad we’ve got his wages off our books, another year would have only seem him decline even more.
