Once a blue- Thoughts on Waynes Departure

Gutted was hoping he’d be a super sub this season! Loved being there for his hatrick last season oh well....

It is very hard to be sad over someone who deserted us when he was blossoming and then went on to win absolutely everything with said team whilst showing zero respect for us and then when he got too old and there was nothing left to win and couldn't get first team action any more, returned to us with open arms, labelled as an Everton Legend (which he isn't) and on absolutely extortionate wages.

Thanks for the nostalgic year and some nice goals but yep definitely time to move on now. Good luck and all that. :)

Shame it didn't work out after that promising start last season. I'm sure Wayne is gutted about it as well, he'll be thinking he's joining the MLS one year too early from his original plan.

He was one of the best of a bad bunch last season. I don’t think, however, that he should be allowed within a mile of the club as a coach in the future. He is a very poor role model, his lifestyle epitomizes everything a professional footballer can no longer get away with.
Bye Wayne, have a ball with the burgers and the grannies.

One of the great shames of the last decade or so Sold to early returned to late. should of kept him until his early twenties. Kenwrong ballsing up kings dock and having to sell rooney doesnt get as much stick as it should those two moves set us back as a club by decades

Even though his pen record was pretty poor you knew he would slot against them lot. I wouldn’t have trusted Baines or Siggy to hack the pressure but you knew Rooney was scoring as soon as we got it.

Glad he's gone to simply shut up this complete whopper who sits near me in the lower Gwladys who spent most of every game abusing him and was even off his seat demanding he be sent off when he put in a poor tackle early on in the home game against Brighton.
