Any hopes of us getting into next season's Champions League reside in our winning the Europa League (as I do believe we might struggle to finish top 4 in the Premier League).
Thus, it's vital we win against these Menorca mayonnaise merchants.
Our form's been spotty recently, but, what's the expression?, 'form is temporary, class is permanent'.
Our world class players (Bainsey, Wayne,Williams, Davies etc) will see us right and the steel backbone lent the team by the no nonsense leadership of Capt Jags, should see us easily prevail

3-0 to our lads in blue!!

As has been my wont this season, (well, since the Atalanta debacle), I shall not be watching a second of this game. Everton's propensity to induce nasty eye-bleeds and overwhelming urges to drink bleach, insists I give all our games a 'swerve with extreme prejudice' classification.

Its no good worrying about Sunday. Like it or not ( I'm in the camp of bloody like it ) We have a massive game which we can't not play in and go "can't be arsed with this because of Sunday" and if Unsworth has anything about him he'll be thinking if he could pull off a win what a great boost that would give his chances of landing the job for a bit longer.

Get battered Thursday and in the space of a week we have been knocked out of 2 cups and put in a woeful showing at Leicester

Win Thursday and who knows, could be a turning point and give the players some much needed confidence for Sunday where there would surely be a top drawer atmosphere if we can pull a win from nowhere on Thursday

COYB!!!

Excellent post; fair raised the hairs on the back of my neck!
Win this and I reckon we'll be at Camp Nou, Bernabeu, Allianz etc next season.
We have the players to win the Europa this season (and winning next year's Champions League is very doable imo).
I have great faith in Unsy's stewardship and his passion (he bleeds blue and 'gets us'.
And Capt Jags is a peerless leader...

5-0 Blues

Just about.

Win our next three games gets us to 10 points.

Atalanta have 7 points, Lyon 5 points and Limmosol 2 points.

As i say win our next 3 and hope Lyon slip up against either Atalanta or Limmosol and we'd likely finish second.

KEEP THE DREAM ALIVE RHINO

Full time score: Lyon 4-0 Everton
