I haven't watched any of the Modern Pentathlon but that was quite hard to watch. Horse just having none of it, woman with chance of gold just seeing it disappear by the second, tumbling down the standings.

Modern Pentathlon is so weird. Like something out of the 1800's (but with a laser gun)

Its ridiculous that you cant have your own horse. You can go from 1st to last on the luck of the draw.

The other horse dance event thing must be soul destroying for the poor horses, I guess this one thought he would get his own back for his mates and just decided to moonwalk when he should have been jumping fences.

…coincidentally, I was reading about a Modern Pentathlete called Yahor Laporte who was on course for gold in 2008 when a horse called Pingping threw him off. Pingping became more famous than the athlete.

I disagree. I think it's shabby that athletes have to go cap in hand to men like that.

It's repulsive. It's like the days when gladiators were given patronage by members of the Roman elite.
