In the boxing Caroline Dubois lost a close fight this morning.

Galal Yafai fights in a quarter final to guarantee a medal shortly. Big ask against a good Cuban but Galal has beat him once in the past. If he wins it will be the most medals in one games for GB in boxing, beating the total of 5 in 2012.

At around 11am Pat McCormack fights Alvarez who is also Cuban for the gold medal. Alvarez has won 3 world championships. Pat is the number 1 ranked boxer at his weight and is probably a slight favourite but a close fight.

Big crash in the pursuit. Denmark were about to easily catch the GB team, but just went straight into the back of them. Not sure what the ruling is?
Think the Danes had technically already won the race as you just need to get within 1 metre to have "caught" the team you are pursuing. Anyway, it's now been confirmed the Danes are through to the final and GB out

TEARS WATCH:

More men in tears: Gemili in the 200M.

FFS, a nation of cry babies.

They should be ashamed to face their own families.

When did this lachrymosity begin? I cant ever remember a deluge of tears like this.

Years ago the odd embarrassment would get through and people would try and forgive them for it. But now it's a trend and many empathise with them.

Seems harsh to eliminate GB, they still had a chance of getting into the bronze race and the crash wasn't their fault.

Hope Jason Kenny smashes the golds total and puts that Tory Chris Hoy character in his box for all time.

I think they said on the commentary during the race that GB were out of the medal races even before the crash

The next fastest 2 teams race for bronze. They were possibly going to miss out because the 3rd rider was well back, but seems unfair that they didn't get to post a time. The crash was completely unneccessary.

Man tore his hamstring, gut it out and finished the race. What’s he supposed to do, act like nothings happened?
