Great result for Daley. Had to put up with a lot of abuse over the years and hes managed to win a gold in his 4th Olympics.

Mental that its his fourth Olympics at 27 years old.

GB finished third overall in 2012 and second in 2016 (on golds). Even 2008 they were fourth.

Quite impressive for a relatively small island. In 2016 to finish above China when they have something like 20x the population is a good achievement.

We have been truly spoilt over the past two Olympics. We’ll not do as well as those but I’ll be very happy to be the top European nation.

Tom Daley is a cracking lad who’s done well, but he’s a millionaire. Doubt many of those others today are.

Haha I get that but GB is 21st biggest country by population so they're still doing well.

Would be interesting to work out who does the best if you work it out by population. Jamaica and Cuba probably will be up there due to their successes in athletics and boxing.
