Giroud has some say in this too. It's a world Cup year and he wants more game time, he's made that clear. Arsensal have just spent big on a striker the fans will lose their nut if he's not played all the time so Giroud will be a bench warmer for them. If we may a decent offer that Arsenal are happy with (Maybe lowering our asking price for Barkley if rumours of their interest in him is true) and we can offer Giroud first team football then this could be a very realistic goer. If he is a target i don't see the point in playing the waiting game in the hope of saving a few bob. We should be getting in there and trying to get a deal done, that way if it isn't going to happen we'll have time to move on to our next target.

His goals per minutes on the pitch ratio is actually better than Romelu's.

he's been very open about wanting game time this season and Le Arse aren't going to bench a 50m striker they've just signed so if Giroud wants to be starting matches he'll need to move. The old Everton in me says we probably aren't even in for him and it's all paper talk... but you never know.
