The Old Alder Hey hospital, c1973 -
….drove down Islington a few hours ago, looks like they’re working on the back of the old TJ building but I thought/hoped it’s protected. Amazing architecture, the trouble they went to 100 years ago and now replace with multi-coloured boxes.
A great retail store when we got married & purchased our first house we had a additional loan on our mortgage to do all the repairs on the hose we purchased in Huyton with Roby - we got the work done with a few hundred £s over went to TG Hughes & purchased a double bed & a washing machine as we had virtually nothing - I realised when I got home we had purchased them on our mortgage 25 years repayment - but needs must back then
The washing machine was a Frigidaire lasted ages ....
