The father in law was Christened there- the church not the pub.
And i spend a long liquid night there - the pub not the Church at an 'After wedding do' where we watched a MotD replay of the 1970 0-2 anfield Derby then put the world to rights late into the night.

…..many fans walk through Anfield cemetery to Goodison. Built 1863, I saw a rat in one of those walkways en-route to a game last season;

Virtually every day of my secondary school life, I’d go into that chippy. For me and everybody else we had half a tin loaf, we took the middle out leaving the crust and hand it in. It was filled with chips with a ladle of curry. Crazy to think of that as a diet but I suppose we burned it off playing sport;

Many John Hammo lads used Chan's to fill half a loaf with curry and chips!
I can across Chan a few years back - he lost the chippy in a card game.

…. amazing. I can vaguely remember him, I’d be quite sure his daughter joined us when the 6th Form moved to Lorraine St for A-Levels.
