Kirkby's market, 1966 - I went there on the odd occasion - loads of stalls back then -

….Everton Red Triangle. Built in 1848 as a Drill Hall by the War Office, it housed the 9th Battalion Liverpool Regiment before they were sent to the Western Front in 1914. I lived a few hundred yards away, walked past that building every day going to secondary school and even to Goodison with no understanding of its history;
