County Road, Walton -
Entering Walton from Kirkdale, a Liverpool District Nameplate can be found at the bottom of County Road near to its junction with Walton Road and Barlow Lane. County Road rises gently out of Kirkdale to St Mary’s Church, which is the historic centre of Walton-on-the-Hill. Most of this area was constructed from 1870 onward; the older building stock is at the Kirkdale end as well as around the old village centre.
