Yep and T Jones we had two one very good TE , and one great TG ..... look at the holding attendance in 1970 65,000...
them imo they wrecked it with that new Goodison stand........ destroying the Goodison road standing area....

he was a very tricky winger deceptively quick and a no nonsense once past his man - the ball aimed at big Joes head also a great shot on him where he chipped in goals ...

he was a killer , but in today's game would not get away with it as they did in that era.....
The new stand was (is) an eyesore and was never a fitting stand to go with the best ground in the country

When I go to the Great Goodison in the Sky it will have the old Leitch stand complete with gable, 2 Square clocks, 4 big floodlights...no concrete carbunkles in my blue heaven ta.

On 13th July 1913, Goodison Park became the first league venue to be visited by a ruling monarch. George V and Queen Mary travelled to the ground to visit local schoolchildren. The next big change came in 1926 when, at a cost of £30,000, another double-decker, similar to the Main Stand, was built on the Bullens Road side opposite.
