Didn’t Gerry Byrne play for most of the game with a badly injured arm ? No subs then. Maybe that’s when he got the injury. A season or two later Bobby Collins got a broken thigh playing against one of the Italian teams !

….early in the game, shocking tackle from Collins if you watch the clip. I think it was in the first few minutes, would have been a straight red, Byrne lucky to escape without serious injury.
