Theo Kelly a Board member/ team coach who got rid of far to many players far left at the back - Stopped Dixie Dean playing his 500 games making him leave on 449 - Joe mercer disliked him so much decided to pack the game in - { moved onto Arsenal} - T G Jones the Prince of centre halves forced out of Goodison as he wanted him to play with a bad ankle injury - he returned to wales facing nearly two years on the transfer market unsold -
The team struggled around the relegation zone in the early 1950's Cliff Briton took over we were relegated but came back up 3 seasons later with local lads like Dave Hickson & John Willie Parker
