That's the away game on a mud bath of a pitch where Everton played almost a reserve side lost 4-1 at Elland road a week before the 1966 semi final v Manchester United - our goalscorer that day an omen Mike Trebilcock - Joe Royle played he stated only for Leeds scoring late goals the make shift team did very well - Sandy Brown & Johnny Morrissey & Andy Rankin were our only regular first team starters of worthy note - Harry Catterick the Manager got fined for deliberately playing a weakened side .....

9th September 1967.Even while he featured in the BBC drama "Golden Vision" the clock was running down on the career of Everton legend Alex Young who is action against Fulham, at Craven Cottage. He soon departed after the film but to have seen him & Bally play in the team I will treasure for ever -
