Everton's FA Cup match against Bristol Rovers at Goodison Park is called off after an inspection of the snow-covered pitch by League referee Mr Arthur Jones. The snowfall was so heavy that by the time Mr Jones reached the ground, it was up to six inches deep in some places. (7th February 1970)​
