Still a huge number travel over from all around Ireland despite how hard we have been to watch in recent years. I would love it if we got back to playing there in pre season as so many of the English clubs seem to avoid coming over, a few friendlies over the pre season could raise the profile of the club again and help us fill some of the extra 13,000 seats we will have at BMD. The standard in the LOI has gotten a good bit better than back in the 90`s when the pre season in Ireland saw a couple of weeks with British teams playing the length and breath of the country.

I would love to see the Blues at Tallaght. They came over every year to play Rovers from the mid 60s to the 70s. Probably because of Peter Farrell and Tommy Eglinton connection. I knew Peter as he lived close by. We used to meet on the 46a bus to see Rovers at Milltown and he absolutely worshipped Everton as well as Rovers. An absolute gentleman

Is there still a mid season window in the LOI for clubs to get in a friendly or two? A week over here with some training at Carlton House and a couple of games while everyone else is flying to the States or Japan, and we`d still get our trip to Preston and Wigan in the same pre-season.
