Quick look and Forest beat us first game of the 77-78 season 3-1.
The game in question seems to be League Cup Nov. 1978 Forest again beat us 3-2 this time after playing a creditable 0-0 draw in the league at the City Ground 3 days before when Forest were in their prime.
Of course they went on to beat the rs in the final.
Goal scorers versus us in the 3-2 defeat were L.Lloyd..Viv. Anderson and T. Woodcock

They had just been promoted thought easy 3 points John Robertson tore us apart!

Opening day 77/78 v Forest, I think it was John McGovern who said for half hour Forest couldn't catch there breath, the pace of us surprised them, they did come to terms with us, & Division One, & remarkably won it !!
