Talk on another thread about the old 1970s habit of throwing cushions on the pitch to protest about poor performances. @Joey66 - have you ever found any old photos of the cushions? If you go back to page 712 in this thread there’s a couple of pages of chat about the flying cushions? I remember them being thrown from both the Main stand and the Upper Bullens as an indication that the locals weren’t happy with what they had seen!
They were blue with a plastic cover on and flew like an out of shape square frisbee!

I remember them raining down, the staff took cover in the dugout Even HK as Manager in the beginning got the treatment

Tried to google it on YouTube or any photos - as you state, only page 712 on this thread on google is a big mention
