The GV skill levels were sublime - he was a player who needed an arm around him - The Catt was not that style of manager even the deal when he left the Catt went back on the promise of his pay-off it was a 1/3 short in pay - coming back to see him & the fans the GV mildly pulled him up on his deal & a grand short{a lot of money back then} The Catt replied your fault nothing in writing !
The GV admitted he did not like the Catt - Catterick's problem is the Goodison faithful loved the GV -
